Thursday’s child is full of woe…

Join us at The Elms, New London on Thursday, January 15th and Thursday, March 5th for an amazing evening of fine dining and good deeds!
What is Thursday’s Child?
The phrase “Thursday’s Child” comes from a poem. Here is one version:
“Monday’s child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is merry and glad,
Thursday’s child is full of woe,
Friday’s child is gentle and giving,
Saturday’s child works hard for his living,
But the child that is born on the Sabbath day is bonny and blithe, and good and gay”
The Evening
The Elms has brought back the tradition of sharing its blessings each Thursday evening – and the Newport Food Pantry is one of many charities who will benefit from their program.
Ten percent of the net earnings from dinner sales will be donated directly to the Newport Food Pantry, aiding us in tackling food insecurity throughout the winter months.
Contact The Elms to reserve your table NOW – and share this special evening with us.
